The Upcycled series from SDA is made by re-spinning denim scraps, yarn scraps, and used denim from factories to create new fabrics. This series was born out of the Japanese spirit of “mottainai,” or “wastefulness,” and is an environmentally friendly approach. By reusing excess scraps from the manufacturing process and denim that is no longer needed after years of use, the waste of resources is reduced and earth-friendly products are created. Re-spun fabrics are given a new lease of life, combining a unique texture with sustainability. The upcycled series combines traditional techniques with modern ecological consciousness. Through this approach, products are transformed into items with new value and long-lasting use.
